Sylsalis Vendana

Having become a surface walker several years in the past, Sylsalis is still very unfamiliar with customs found on the topside of Ryne and many of the people that she meets and gets a chance to speak with. Her personality is generally very rough around the edges, as Sylsalis is oft times quite blunt or crass. She does not get many jokes, nor does sarcasm greet her too well in many different scenarios.

Sylsalis also takes her duties to the Symphian army quite seriously, and she tends to look out for her subordinates, generally making sure that they are safe when they are out on an assignment or deployed for a mission. While much of her tactics and decisions have earned her the rank of Brigadier General after nearly a decade of serving for the Symphian Queen, there are still many regrets that Sylsalis seems bear, though certainly does her best not to actually let herself become too engrossed in the past so as to not allow her emotions to cloud her judgement.

With members of family that she has kept in contact with, Sylsalis is generally a little more open and mellow to observing parties that would notice the difference in Sylsalis' tone and personality. With her family members, Sylsalis generally is more at ease, and seems to be a little more relaxed with them... probably because whatever family does visit her are generally also those that left part of their lives in the sea that they mostly abandoned for the most part. Where Sylsalis would be considered a traitor to the Merr way of life, she is still considered family to those that have also decided to live life on land.

Sylsalis also seems to have a soft spot for her fiancé, Aidan Diggory, one of the Captains that services for the same Symphian army that she does. While Sylsalis never before imagined her ending up with a surface walker, she must admit that her time spent with Aidan has been an eventful amount of minutes, hours, and days. She does not regret ever having him be the first to hear her siren's song that would be her ritual to wooing a suitable mate. While embarrassed about her singing capabilities, Sylsalis finds solace and comfort in being able to spend time with Aidan on their hours off that they have from duty.
